# What Is Agent FinOps?

Agent FinOps is the operating discipline for AI labor: meter every token, attribute every dollar to an owner and a workflow, control spend before it compounds, and prove return with finance-grade records. It is not another dashboard category. ## Meter, Control, Prove

**Meter** means ingesting usage from providers and gateways and mapping cost to agent, owner, workflow, and business unit. **Control** means budgets, anomaly alerts, and spend policies that route through your existing controls — set by finance without rewriting engineering stacks. **Prove** means chargeback to the GL, cost-per-outcome vs. a human baseline, and board-ready exports.
