About Onaro
Pronounced: OH-nah-roh
Onaro is the agent FinOps company. Our product, Meridian, is the system of record for what AI labor costs and returns — metering every agent, attributing every dollar to an owner and a workflow, and producing the chargeback files, budgets, and audit-grade records finance teams run on.
Companies are deploying AI agents faster than anyone can account for them. The spend arrives shredded across cloud invoices, platform fees, and departmental tools — every line item has a home, but the total has no owner. Only 7% of executives can demonstrate ROI on AI investment (KPMG, 2026). Meridian exists to make that question answerable: what did our AI workforce cost last month, and what did we get for it?
The name
ONARO stands for Objective Network, Analytics, Risk, and Oversight — the four things we believed enterprise AI accountability would require. Building Meridian sharpened each of them into something more concrete:
Objective Network
means unbiased, read-only visibility across your entire AI estate — every vendor, every model, every dollar. Nothing installed, nothing in your traffic path, no stake in which providers you use.
Analytics
means attribution, not dashboards. Raw spend becomes a ledger: every dollar assigned to an agent, an owner, a workflow, and a business unit — and unassigned dollars surfaced in plain sight, never buried in "misc cloud."
Risk
means catching money problems before the invoice: budget overruns, anomalies, shadow spend, agents nobody owns.
Oversight
means enablement, not control. Finance gets budgets, chargeback, and board-ready proof; engineering keeps building. Policy actions route through the controls your teams already trust.
Onaro is always on. Always aware. Always objective.
The founder
Onaro was built by Brian Diamond, a 25-year operator of enterprise IT in regulated industries — healthcare, financial services, and government — and a fractional Chief AI Officer to enterprise clients. Meridian is the product of watching the same scene repeat in boardrooms: everyone deploying AI, no one able to say what it costs or returns. The publisher of record is BrianOnAI LLC, Connecticut.
Where to start
The front door is the Agent Spend Assessment — two weeks, read-only, free. We meter your actual AI spend and hand you the report, whatever it shows. Or talk to sales directly.
