Settled and estimate
A total is an estimate while its month is still open, or while any row in a closed month is not yet reconciled or invoiced. It is settled when every month in the period has ended and every row in those months is reconciled or invoiced.
A Teams total can carry the word Estimate or Settled on the next line. Booking a confirmed invoice makes that vendor’s usage for the period invoiced. The invoice is the total for the vendor and the confirmed billing period. Measured usage stays attributed and is scaled to the invoice. Taxes, fees, seats, and credits stay on their own lines.
