Frequently asked questions

Short answer. An empty dashboard means no source has delivered spend yet. Unattributed spend has no agent. Idle capacity was paid for and not used. A number moves after an invoice because the confirmed invoice is the total for that vendor and period, and measured usage in that period is scaled to it.
The plan
Meridian is one plan. Every product feature is included. Enterprise options: custom MSA, security review. Planned: dedicated database, customer-managed keys.
The dashboard is empty
Dashboard is titled Agent Spend Ledger. Spend by Vendor says "No sources connected yet" and "Connect a provider, gateway, or billing export and the ledger starts metering within hours." Use Connect a source.
On Setup, "Active, awaiting usage" means the connection is in place and no usage has arrived. "Not started" or "Needs attention" means it is not metering. The 14 days on a free assessment start when the first connection succeeds.
If Usage says "Hard cap active — ingest suspended until {date}", new usage waits until that date. Reconnecting the source does not clear the cap.
Unattributed and idle
They are different, and they are not added together.
Unattributed means Meridian saw the spend and could not tie it to an agent. Dashboard can show "N% of spend still open" and a row "Unattributed — open inbox →". Assign it on Agents & allocation → Unattributed, or add a rule that matches vendor or model. A rule does not move spend that already has an agent.
Idle means private-inference capacity that was paid for and sat unused. Analytics shows that on the "Nobody used it" card. Idle is a rate-card and cost-pool question, not an inbox assignment.
Estimate and settled
A total is an Estimate while the month is still open, or while any row in a closed month is not yet reconciled or invoiced. It is Settled when every month in the period has ended and every row in those months is reconciled or invoiced. A Teams total can carry one of those two words on the next line.
Booking a confirmed invoice is what marks that vendor's usage for the period as invoiced. See A surprise invoice.
A number changed after an invoice
Confirm the billing period, then book the invoice. That invoice is the total for the vendor and the period. Usage Meridian already measured stays attributed and is scaled so the usage total matches the invoice. Taxes, fees, seats, and credits stay on their own lines, so the invoice total and the usage total differ by those lines. That scale is why a dashboard number can move after the file is booked.
