Sign up and create a company

Short answer. After your email is verified and two-factor authentication is on, Your company either creates a company and makes you the owner, or asks you to join the company that already uses your email domain. A second company is Create organization. More than one company is the organization menu.

Create the company

The page title is Your company. While it checks, it says "Checking your company…".

If there is no company for your domain yet, the page says "This creates {company} and makes you the owner." When the name is already stored, it shows that name. Otherwise you enter Company. Country is required. Create company saves it. While it saves, the button says Saving….

When it is ready, the page says "{company} is ready. You are the owner." The free assessment's 14 days start when the first data connection succeeds, not when the company is created. Connect a source, Implementation guides, Buy Meridian, and Continue to your account are on that screen. Start free assessment appears when the assessment is not already waiting.

Join a company that already exists

If your email domain already belongs to a company, the page says "{company} already uses your email domain. Request to join that company. This does not create a second one." The button is Request to join {company}. Talk to sales is the other path.

After you request, you stay signed in. The page says the request is with the company, and when they approve it this page continues into the account. There is no second invitation to accept. It shows who it was sent to and when it was requested.

If the request is closed, the page says "Your request to join {company} is closed. You do not have a separate company." Request again sends it once more.

If the company is set up with sales, the page says "Thanks. Our team will contact you shortly to set this up."

Another company, or a switch

Create organization opens a form titled Create organization. The line under the title is "This creates a new company and switches you into it. Your other companies stay as they are." Enter Company and Country, then Create organization. You land on Dashboard in the new company.

When the account belongs to more than one company, Meridian can replace the page with Choose an organization and "Your account belongs to more than one company. Choose one in the organization menu to continue." The menu's empty option is Choose organization. The menu title is "Switch active organization". Choosing a company reloads into it. With one company, the header shows the name and there is no menu.
