How to invite a colleague

Last reviewed 2026-11-07.

Short answer. Open Team and use Invite colleagues. Enter the email, choose a role other than owner, and select Send invitation. Success says "Invitation sent." A pending row reads the email, the role, and waiting to accept.

Send it

Team is in the top nav. On Governance the card is Team Management, and the line under it is "Invite members and assign roles." The page title is Team. The line under it is "Members, roles, requests to join, and invitations."

The section is Invite colleagues. The email placeholder is "colleague@company.com." The role menu lists every role except the owner role. Send invitation sends it. While it sends, the button says Sending….

Success says "Invitation sent." unless the server sends its own message. A failure says "Could not send the invitation", unless the server sent its own message. While one invitation is pending, a second send says "An invitation is already pending for this email."

A pending row reads "{email} · {role} · waiting to accept." The email says "This invitation expires in 7 days."

What the role can see

An owner, an admin, or a person with finance rights can ask spend questions. A member who is none of those can be in the account and still see "Ask your Meridian admin for access to spend questions" in Teams.

Give the person a role that can see spend before you expect them to read the dashboard.

Teams is a different switch

This invitation is for Meridian. It does not connect Microsoft Teams. Allow everyone in our tenant stays off until an owner turns it on. The connection itself is optional and is not Meridian sign-in.

The first week around this invitation is A new team starts using AI.
